As the Lead Mechanical Engineer, Motor/Generator, you will lead the technical vision, execution, and continuous improvement of the rotating machinery that turns mechanical power into electrical power and vice versa. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development, from conceptual design through manufacturing, assembly, and test. 

Once our nodes leave the manufacturing facility, they must be deployed, operated, and maintained safely and reliably across vast oceanic regions - all at an unprecedented scale and reduced cost. As Offshore Lead, you will provide boots on the ground leadership for these operations. 

We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer, Hull to join our team and provide technical leadership for the mechanical design and development of our core technology, the "Node." The Node is a device designed to produce energy in the harshest ocean conditions for extended periods without maintenance. This role is crucial to the success of our mission.  You will be responsible for the hull and the team that form the backbone of our Nodes.

As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) focused on Compute Payloads, you will be responsible for cross-functional execution across all aspects of our customer-facing and revenue-generating payloads program. This role is essential for the successful development, testing, integration, and demonstration of payload hardware onboard our ocean-deployed Nodes.

As a Senior Computational Fluid Dynamicist, you will execute critical components of our CFD modeling and simulation strategy. You will take ownership of the full simulation workflow and play a central role in shaping simulation and process automation methodologies, evaluating and validating the performance of novel marine systems, and mentoring junior engineers. You’ll help us push the boundaries of marine CFD in a highly dynamic, mission-driven environment. 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on Core Electronics and Systems Integration, you will own the complete mechanical lifecycle of our core electronic systems—from whiteboard to waves. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you will lead the design, prototyping, integration, and deployment of enclosures and mechanical assemblies critical to our power generation and conversion units.

As part of the engineering team responsible for designing, integrating, and building electromechanical systems that sit at the heart of our technology. Your work spans CAD design, assembly, testing, and documentation—bridging the gap between mechanical and electrical engineering. Success in this role means creating robust, manufacturable designs and contributing to systems that perform reliably in demanding environments.

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer, Mechanical and Fluid Systems to design, build, and operate large-scale test equipment for hydraulic turbines, electrical generation powertrains, and high-power equipment. This role requires deep expertise in fluid dynamics, process piping, and mechanical system integration.

Panthalassa is transitioning from prototyping to production builds. To scale reliably, we need strong enterprise systems that track and manage parts from design through manufacturing to fully integrated, validated nodes. We’re hiring a Program Lead for Enterprise Data Systems to own the strategy and execution of this work. You will lead the selection, implementation, and integration of the core tools that power our operations, including PLM, ERP, MRP, MES, QMS, and WMS.

The final stage in producing our nodes is a full system integration. At this stage, we are outfitting our node structure with our electromechanical subsystems and payloads, with simultaneous activities happening inside and outside the node. We’re looking for someone to coordinate the chaos into a time-bound orchestrated event, working closely with our fabricators and engineers to ensure safe, smooth, high-quality execution every time.

This will be our first supply chain hire at Panthalassa. You’ll build the make-vs-buy and partner evaluation muscle for a hardware program that’s scaling fast, with real constraints and real consequences (cost, schedule, and whether we can ship nodes). This is not a purchasing role. You won’t be buying capital equipment or handling real estate transactions. You will, however, roll up your sleeves: call suppliers, visit shops, qualify partners, negotiate agreements, and build a plan that keeps manufacturing moving.

The Facilities Engineer owns the performance and reliability of Panthalassa’s building infrastructure. This is a hands-on, systems-building role that will ensure safe, reliable, and efficient facilities. This role supports day-to-day operations, capital projects, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.You’ll operate across both office/lab and industrial/manufacturing environments, supporting rapid build cycles, specialized equipment installs, and safe execution. In addition to building infrastructure, this role supports the lifecycle management of site industrial equipment that depends on facility utilities (installation readiness, preventative maintenance strategy, service partner coordination, and operational uptime).

As a Logistics Specialist, you’ll run core day-to-day warehouse operations such as receiving, inventory control, internal materials flow, and outbound shipping, while helping us stand up scalable processes as we grow from prototypes to production. You’ll be the hands-on partner to manufacturing and engineering, ensuring the right parts are in the right place, accurately tracked, and shipped on time. As volumes increase, you’ll help define procedures, layouts, and material flow - and grow into leadership as the team scales.

We are seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Lead to build and scale a proactive, consistent safety program across labs, fabrication spaces, marine operations, pilot manufacturing, and field environments. This role is not just about expertise—it’s about partnership. You will work side-by-side with engineers, technicians, and operators to identify risks early, develop practical solutions, and embed safety directly into how work gets designed and done.

As our Director of Accounting & Corporate Controller, you will lead financial operations during a critical growth phase as we scale from R&D to mass production and commercial deployment. You’ll build scalable systems and controls, establish reporting processes that support rapid decision-making, and provide financial insights that help leadership execute on ambitious goals. This is a hands-on role ideal for a builder ready to architect and own our accounting infrastructure from the ground up.

As Director, Finance and Strategy, you will translate Panthalassa’s frontier technology into the language of capital markets and strategic partners. This is a high-visibility, high-ownership role on a lean team commercializing a once-in-a-generation technology. As one of our first business hires, you’ll be an integral part of bringing our products to market, have a seat at the table for major decisions with planetary-level impact, and enjoy limitless growth opportunities as we race to scale in the coming years. 

We're looking for a Corporate Network Engineer to join our IT team and establish the network infrastructure that will enable our teams to advance renewable energy technology and ocean-based computing. You'll be building from the ground up—designing and implementing the corporate office network infrastructure that connects our Portland headquarters, lab facilities, and future locations as we scale.
