As we scale, we’re looking for an outstanding mechanical engineering leader to complement, enable, and enhance an already outstanding engineering team.  You will be responsible for technical, people, and project leadership of core parts of our nodes throughout their lifecycle, from concept through production and deployments in the ocean.  Leadership here is not a status symbol; it is enormously hard work that can really only be done by someone who is simultaneously deeply technical, hyper organized, and extraordinarily passionate about empowering and developing others.  We are also an organization where leaders are excited to pitch in to act as individual contributors if the need arises.

As Senior Technoeconomics Analyst, you will play a leadership role in understanding the technical and economic drivers of our technology and developing forward-looking models of a transformational effort to harness low-cost renewable energy. You will develop detailed cost models, conduct and promulgate excellent data science, produce extraordinary visualizations, and collaborate closely with engineering, R&D, and business teams to optimize the performance of both our technology and our teams. Working alongside a dedicated software engineer and engineering team leads, you will identify critical cost levers, refine forecasts, and contribute to strategies that ensure we achieve the lowest-cost energy solutions on the planet. Your work will fundamentally inform the company's prioritization of its objectives.

As Senior Technoeconomics Software Engineer, you will lead the design and development of software systems in support of our goal of generating the lowest-cost energy on the planet. You will work closely with scientists, analysts, engineers, and business leaders to build robust, scalable, and data-driven software solutions that track cost drivers, identify key parameter uncertainties, and integrate data from multiple large scientific and engineering databases and simulation systems. Your expertise in software engineering will be central to creating tools and processes that transform raw data into actionable insights used both by engineering teams and executives. You won’t build the technical or financial models, but you will write the  software that integrates these efforts and produces the insights that help steer the company.
